Eclipse Restaurant, located in the beautiful University City Loop’s Moonrise Hotel, is a unique dining experience – modern American cuisine served in a sleek setting surrounded by moonage-daydream décor.

The solar panel rooftop helps to supply energy to the giant rotating moon on the roof and light to the rooftop patio, and rechargeable candles help reduce energy costs for their events and banquets. Eclipse donates to charities like Operation Food Search, provides an electric car charging station, and composts their food waste – reducing their environmental impact by contributing to their community, reducing their carbon footprint, and reducing the amount of organic waste in the landfill.

They source local produce from a farm in Collinsville, mushrooms in their soups and sandwiches from Ozark Forest Mushrooms, whole pasture-raised chickens and some grass-fed beef for burgers. There are always #vegetarian and #vegan options, including the Impossible Burger, on the menu!

Eclipse offers compostable straws, which is a fantastic way to reduce waste. Single-use plastic straws end up as litter due to their size, and are then carried through our waterways to the ocean, where they are likely to harm aquatic life.

Eclipse is a participant in GiftAMeal, a program that markets restaurants while feeding the hungry in St. Louis. On the GiftAMeal app, each time someone takes a photo at a partner restaurant, a meal is provided to someone in need through Operation Food Search.

Eclipse offers a great selection of local beers from breweries like 4 Hands, Urban Chestnut, and more, with awesome happy hour specials. Enjoy the unique ambiance with dinner and a beer while taking in the rooftop view!
