Diners put their money where their mouth is.

The GDA is pleased to report a successful, and delicious, first Dine-Out Night!

IMG_3206On November 6th, around 16 fans of the Green Dining Alliance showed up at The Wolf to pledge their support of sustainable dining in the region. With a diverse drink and food menu, it wasn’t hard for the local foodies put their money where their mouth is.

The Wolf, a 4-star certified restaurant, served up local, grass-fed, free range, and fresh meals for couples, individual diners, and even a birthday party of 8 (who enjoyed several bottles of wine)! Surrounded by wooden furnishings, stone walls, and decorations like canoes and climbing equipment, diners at The Wolf could almost have been in a wilderness lodge.

GDA Coordinator Olivia treated herself to her first burger in ages, knowing the meat came from Rain Crow Ranch. It was topped with bleu cheese, tomato-bacon jam (pastured, low-impact bacon from Todd Geisert Farm), fresh spinach, a slice of ripe tomato, and a Companion bun. Her report: if you haven’t eaten at The Wolf yet, you’re really missing out!

Join us on November 16th.

Lulu’s Local Eatery is our next Dine Out host; however, as a mobile food truck with no set location for an evening event, Lulu’s has requested that GDA followers attend their upcoming “Pop Up Brunch” at Sump Coffee, on Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you like good food and good coffee, you cannot miss this event! Lulu’s will also be debuting a specialty brunch item exclusively for this event! Support local businesses and the Green Dining Alliance this coming weekend.
